Your practice. Your data choices.
This page explains what stays in your browser, what optional usage analytics records, and how to change your choice.
Your analytics choice
Your practice entries stay in this browser regardless of this setting.
Stored in this browser
TradeSherpa stores chart preferences, display and language choices, saved portfolio interests, analytics consent and paper-practice data in browser storage. Practice data can include your watchlist, selected symbol, simulated fills, quantities, entered prices, notes and completion flags. Simulated portfolio values use your entered paper fills.
Your notes and exports
Practice contents are not uploaded by this site. Journal CSV downloads are created locally. If browser storage is unavailable, practice can use current-tab memory with a visible notice. Use the practice reset control to remove its local history and watchlist, or clear site data in your browser. Export anything you want to keep first; these records are not a cloud backup. Checklist notes stay only in the open page unless you download or print them.
Optional usage analytics
Analytics are off by default. If you turn them on, the site may record an allowlisted feature, product or broker action, a broad page route, a server receipt time, a schema version and a random identifier for that event. The event identifier prevents duplicate retries; it is not a visitor or account identifier.
What analytics excludes
Application analytics payloads exclude your account, email, IP address, referring page, URL queries and fragments, watchlist symbols, trade quantities, prices and journal notes. Analytics receipts are stored privately with no public read endpoint. Hosting providers may separately receive ordinary request metadata, so this notice does not promise complete anonymity.
Changing your choice
Turning analytics off stops future application analytics attempts and cancels pending sends where possible. It does not remove an event already received. The current service has no automatic deletion schedule for these event receipts, and they are not linked to a visitor account. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep optional analytics off.
Other services & support email
Market charts may load from TradingView. Broker links and ecosystem tools open other websites, which have their own privacy practices. Opening the support email link uses your email application; a message is sent only if you send it there. If you contact support, the mailbox receives the address and message you choose to provide.
Scope & questions
This notice describes the current TradeSherpa website and prototype tools. Paper practice does not submit real orders or connect brokerage accounts. The DeFi prototype does not perform live wallet signing. For a question about these data practices, use the support link below.
