A clearer platform comparison.

Review nine practical criteria. Keep sources and dates alongside your notes, then save a copy for each platform you research.

Mark an item when you have reviewed it. A completed checklist is a research record, not an endorsement or a recommendation to invest.

  1. Confirm that the platform serves your location and intended account type. Check its legal name and any relevant registration directly with the appropriate official source.

  2. Write down which assets, account services and custody arrangements you need. Check what you actually own, where assets are held and which protections or exclusions apply.

  3. Compare the published schedule for commissions, spreads, subscriptions, market data, currency conversion, transfers and withdrawals. Record the date and any conditions attached to a promotion.

  4. Identify each quote source, timestamp, exchange and any stated delay. Check which data is included and which requires a paid entitlement.

  5. Review available order types, order review steps, price limits and risk controls. Try a demo where available and record how simulated fills differ from real execution.

  6. Read the supported funding methods, stated processing times, holds, minimums and withdrawal restrictions before making a transfer.

  7. Check the official domain, available multifactor authentication, session controls and account recovery process. Locate the documented process for reporting unauthorized activity.

  8. Locate the actual support channels, service hours, escalation path and published complaint procedures. Keep a link to the current terms.

  9. Check statement and transaction exports, record availability, privacy settings and the process for closing an account or requesting help with stored information.
